In numerous beautifully carved temples, dedicated to various Hindu deities dot the state. Most of the temples are nearly 2000 years old with an architecture of Dravidian influence and many mythological stories attached to it. Be it the Meenakshi temple, the largest temple in India with musical pillars or the shore temple of Mahabalipuram, each has its own story giving these small towns a mystic touch!
