Kerala Backwater Tours – The Exotic Destination for Visitors

Each state in India has a different position and role. The state of Kerala is no exception. This unassuming state lies longitudinally on the western coast, in the southernmost tip of India. Wedged neatly between the Arabian Sea to the west and a solid row of hills on the east, this state has some of the most interesting elements, which go to make Kerala Tours one of the most sought after holiday packages in India.

The most prominent feature of Kerala backwaters. Popular for its tranquil beauty and novelty, the backwaters are the ideal place for relaxation and connecting with nature. Formed by the convergence of sea water with still rivers, the backwaters stretch through a considerable part of the state, offering a panoramic view of passing towns and sights. The backwaters plough you past ancient churches, fishing villages and spice gardens. The swaying palms greet you merrily as you churn the waters. The backwaters are best experienced in quaint houseboats that are the local means of travel through them. However, there are several cruises that take you through the backwaters in greater style, offering heightened comfort and luxury. The pick is yours for the taking. The main cities you are likely to pass on your backwater tour include Kumarakom, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Kollam and Kochi.

As abundant as the backwaters are the numerous beaches that line themselves up along the western coast. Sparsely populated, but extremely picturesque, the beaches are among the most relaxing places in Kerala. The best place to slow down your tour, the beaches are the place to indulge in some sun, sip on some coconut water and watch little boats and ships dot the horizon. If you think that the beaches need to have much more to stoke your fancy, try some activities like sailing, surfing and rafting to get you going.

The fishing villages are an extremely important feature on the Kerala tour. Not only since they are impressive with the use of ancient Chinese fishing nets, but also since the industry is extremely important to the state of Kerala. As the catch for the day are spilled onto the market roads and sorted by variety and size, there are cacophonic auctions, which bid for the prize picks. If you can manage to survive the pungent smell of the fish, this is one place you are sure to find plenty of action.

When in Kerala, you just cannot afford to miss the call of the wild. The natural surroundings make Kerala an undisturbed heaven for several varieties of animals and birds. Some of these can be viewed along the coasts as you sift through on a backwater tour, but getting close to them is another thrill. Mixing the best natural scenes with rare animals is a new high. With different courses that allow you some rare experiences, try getting alone on an elephant safari and look down at murmuring streams, camp in the wild and experience the jungle by day and night, or even indulge in some bamboo rafting if you need more thrill.

Come to Kerala and witness nature smile down at you. Your holiday cannot get better than this.

Ultimate amusing Fun begins on Goa Beaches

Goa’s greatest fascination for westerns (and progressively Indian) guests are certainly is its seashores. What exactly encourages this heady human mix to Goa, to this exotic paradise? First and major, there happens to be beach: long and charming, pepped with wood made outriggers, grape providers and calm shacks, Goa’s palm-backed seashores are, at their best simply heavenly.

Swaying hands, bright beaches, and gleaming waters; the essential components that entice two thousand guests to Goa’s warm shoreline every year are plentiful in this small, fantastic piece of Native indian Tour that cuddles the nation's european coastline… This is Goa for you.

Here’s a brief snapshot of Goa’s beaches from north to south

 • Querim

This Virtually abandoned stretch of sand, just south of the Terekhol river, has a handful of beach shacks serving food at its northern end but the accommodation to speak of.

 • Ashvem

South of Mandrem River. Asvem is a very peaceful beach popular with the travelers wandering up to escape the scene further south. There are a growing number of bamboo and palm-thatch huts, but essentially it’s a quiet place to enjoy with your loved one.

 • Morjim

This is another long stretch of sand, almost deserted in places and backed by palms, casuarinas and a typical coastal village. At this you can find rare olive turtles nest at the southern end of the beach.

 • Vagator

There is three relatively small, attractive beaches here backed by rocky cliffs that attract lots of day tippers. Vagator Beach in Goa is the main party centre with a couple o sites for rave parties and late-night party places. The crowd here is a mix of budget travelers, European and Israeli ravers and a few mid-range tourists.

Goa’s primary fascination and greatest sketch is, without question, is sequence of amazing seashores that are great locations to negotiate back with a publication or go swimming in the relaxing ocean or experience the relaxed atmosphere that descends so near yet so far.

Nepal tourist places

Nepal - a country of amazing extremes is divided into five major physiographic regions which run in more or less parallel bands from northwest to southeast. Each of these regions has a distinctive agricultural and forestry land utilization pattern. These regions are known as Terai, Siwaliks, Middle Mountains, High Mountains and High Himal from south to north direction. Nepal was once extensively covered by forests. Demand for fodder, overgrazing and uncontrolled cutting of timber and fuel wood, have significantly reduced the original forest cover. The composition of vegetation is closely related to the climate, which in turn is related to the physiographic region. There is not only a difference in vegetation from north to south, but also from east to west. The latter is caused by the decrease of monsoon rains in the western part and to some extent by the latitudinal differences between the eastern and western regions of Nepal.

There are numerous exciting places to visit in Nepal. Due to its rich cultural diversity, art and architecture have flourished in various places in different ways. These wonderful arts and architectures of the ancient times which remain as cultural heritages nowadays are worth seeing. Nepal, being the country of the highest mountains and hills in the world offers excellent trekking and adventure facilities. Various places which lie on hill tops offer both trekking and historical study facilities. Below, Exotic-Nepal.Com has outlined the most interesting and culturally, geographically and historically rich places of Nepal which any tourist would want to see and relish.

Bardia is a geographic region in the Kingdom of Nepal. Bardia comprises a portion of the Terai, or lowland hills and valleys of southern Nepal with a drier climate and a remote location, Bardia encompasses 1,000-sq-kms of riverine grassland and sal forests which adds to the joy of an adventure trip. To reach Bardia, take the daily air flight or public bus from Kathmandu to napalgunj, from where it is a five hour drive to the park office at Thakurdwara. The faunal diversity of the park includes 53 species of mammals including endangered mega herbivores like rhinoceros and elephant, more than 25 species of reptiles, over 400 species of birds, 121 species of fishes and unknown diversity of mollusks and arthropods.

Bhaktapur is the home of traditional art and architecture, historical monuments and craft works, magnificent windows, pottery and weaving industries, excellent temples, beautiful ponds, rich local customs, culture, religion, festivals, musical mystic and About 16 km from Kathmandu. If you are not arriving as part of a tour group, you may take mini bus (bound for Kamal Binayak stop in Bhaktapur) or big bus (bound for Chyamasingha stop in Bhaktapur) from Bus Stop near Bhadrakali. Bhaktapur is still an untouched as well as preserved ancient city, which in fact, is itself a world to explore for tourist. From time immemorial it lay on the trade route between Tibet/China and India. This position on the main caravan route made the town rich and prosperous.

Chitwan is only 150m above the sea level. Bharatpur Airport, Bharatpur, Nepal is about 10 km away. By bus take the tourist bus from Kathmandu or Pokhara. From Kathmandu, Chitwan is about 4 hours. From Pokhara, it is around 6 hours. When you arrive in Chitwan (the village), you will need to take a horse cart or bicycle rickshaw (what the locals call a "taxi") the 7km into the tiny village that Sauraha. The area is located in the central climatic zone of the Himalayas, where monsoon starts in mid-June and eases off in late September. Chitwan is only 150m above the sea level. The place gets steamy from March-June, with peak temperatures reaching 43°C in the shade. Short grass makes Feb-May the best game-viewing season, but the autumn months are gorgeous, with Himalayan views, and in winter (December-January), Chitwan is pleasantly warmed compared to Kathmandu. The monsoon season (July-August) is intense. The wildlife and the landscape are not as breathtaking as those found in Africa but still, the experience will stand out.

Dhulikhel is popular for viewing the sunrise and sunset. It is popular for its natural scenic beauty and Dhulikhel lies along the B.P Highway and Arniko Highway. Arniko Highway connects Kathmandu, Nepal's capital city with Tibet’s border town of Kodari. And in November and December the weather is normally very clear and tropical-hot during the days but chilly and even cold in the evenings and nights. Dhulikhel is the administrative center of Kavrepalanchok District, Nepal. Drinking water in Dhulikhel is one of the best water in Nepal. The town has benefited for hundreds of years from being on the trade route between the Kathmandu Valley and Tibet. Dhulikhel once an important trade route between Tibet and Nepal has the old buildings, cobbled streets and ancient temples.  Dhulikhel offers the travelers the superb views of the snowcapped mountain ranges and many places for day hikes.

Kathmandu is the general lack of street names (except for major roads such as Tri Devi and Ring Road) and address numbers. In most cases directions are given relative to the nearest chowk or tole  or a noteworthy building such as a temple or restaurant. In the tourist district of Thamel, the Kathmandu Guest House and Hot Breads bakery are two main landmarks. Climatic conditions of Kathmandu vary to a large extent in view of several geographical factors. Five major climatic regions have been deciphered in Nepal, out of which Kathmandu valley falls under the Warm Temperate Zone where the climate is fairly pleasant, atypical of the region. Directions are given relative to the nearest chowk or tole (an intersection or square, often with a market) or a noteworthy building such as a temple or restaurant. In the tourist district of Thamel, the Kathmandu Guest House and Hot Breads bakery are two main landmarks. It is possible to get across the city by foot, but it is not always a pleasant walk and you may want to consider a rickshaw for anything more than wandering around a specific area. Rickshaws are bicycle driven; the motorized ones have been banned from the valley in a bid to check rising pollution.

Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Gautama Buddha is the most important pilgrimage site for the Buddhist and has also been one of the major attractions for people from other religions too. Lumbini, like the Buddha, stands peacefully and calm, away from the crowds of the cities, on the southern plains of the country, surrounded by forests. Lord Buddha is believed to have been born in Lumbini as Prince Siddhartha, when his mother Queen Mayadevi of Kapilbastu stopped to rest on her way to her parent's palace in a neighboring country some 2,600 years ago. People here also believe that she chose the place because of its peaceful setting. Although there are no cities or heavy population nearby, there are plans to develop the area, with gardens, trees, canal, accommodation facilities and even a library. Adequate lodging is available to the visitor and pilgrims, including a luxury hotel made by the Japanese. There are many places to visit like as Ashoka Pillar, Maya Devi Temple etc.

The magnificent city is located west of Kathmandu and the climate is sub-tropical but due to the elevation the temperatures are moderate: the summer temperatures average between 25 - 35°C, in winter around 5 - 15°C..It is the third largest city after Kathmandu and Biratnagar. Pokhara has always been a favorite among tourists visiting Nepal, to get away from the hustle and bustle of the capital to a peaceful setting, to relax by the lake side or take a hiking trip around the valley, with routes available to suit everyone's needs and The valley is about 35 minutes abroad a plane, on about six daily flights available from Kathmandu or about 7 hours’ drive on a luxury bus. The city itself is divided into two zones - the lakeside and the bazaar area. As the jumping grounds for trekking, the stores around the lake carries all the necessary equipment needed for such trips, plus it is a good place to buy souvenirs to take back home.

Nagarkot is renowned for its sunrise view of the Himalaya including Mount Everest as well as other snow-topped peaks of the Himalayan range of eastern Nepal.
There are various places around the edge of the Kathmandu Valley that offer great mountain views, but the resort village of Nagarkot, 32km from Kathmandu, is generally held to be the best. Dedicated mountain watchers make their way up to the village, stay overnight in one of Nagarkot's lodges, then rise at dawn to see the sun appear over the Himalaya. Between October and March a trip to Nagarkot will nearly always be rewarded with a view, but you will be very lucky to catch more than a glimpse through the monsoon clouds between June and September. During the summer, sweaty valley residents escape the heat for the resort's cool mountain air; in winter they rush up if there's even a chance of being able to throw a tiny snowball. It can get very cold at Nagarkot in autumn and winter, so if you're staying overnight come prepared with warm clothing.

Travel to Bhutan

Bhutan, the Land of the Thunder Dragon, is no ordinary place. It is without doubt one of the world`s most unusual countries. It is a land wrapped in myth and legend. The kingdom of Bhutan lies in the eastern Himalayas bordered north by China and on all other sides by India. It has very high mountains, fertile valleys and thick forest forests. The country is mostly made up of mountains covered in lush green forests, towering over valleys that are home to rice fields and rivers. Traditional Bhutanese houses are sparsely distributed throughout the country and there are a few small cities. Bhutan is a land of awesome mountains – some of the highest in the world – thick-forested valleys and imposing dzong, monastery fortifications often perched up on cliff sides. It is a place where landscapes are dotted with blue poppies, snow leopards and innumerable banners of bright flapping prayer flags.
Bhutan takes its Buddhism seriously. The religion pervades all levels of life, resulting in peaceful temples, red-robed monks scurrying along the streets, a mind-blowing number of deities and legends, and a widespread belief in practicing kindness and loving to all sentient beings – what could be better than that? Bhutan, for years closed off from the rest of the world, seems like a little slice of Himalayan heaven. Here, traffic lights do not exist, strict conservation laws mean trees still cover almost 75% of the country, and productivity is measured in Gross National Happiness.
This is a country where buying cigarettes is illegal, where the rice is red and where chilies are not just a seasoning but the entire dish. It is also a deeply Buddhist land, where men wear a tunic to work, where giant protective penises are painted on the walls of most houses. Tourism in Bhutan is also unique. Visitors famously have to pay a minimum of US$200 per day, making it one of the world’s most expensive countries to visit, but this fee is all-inclusive, you do not have to travel in a group and you can arrange your own itinerary. A short and relatively gentle tour, providing an overall impression of the land, the people and the history of the last independent Buddhist Kingdom, One of the most remarkable aspects of the country is in its overall degree of separation from the outer world. During this brief stay you will witness many of Bhutan’s defining characteristics and fascinating contrasts. It is both immensely refreshing and stimulating to find oneself in a situation so different from the familiar.
The trip covers the highlights of western Bhutan: Paro, Thimphu and Punakha. Paro is one of the holiest and most fertile places in the country. The lower valley of Punakha possesses an immense historical significance. As you hike through the surrounding countryside, visiting temples and passing through traditional village settlements, it is clear that both maintain the overall ambiance and tranquility of earlier times. Thimphu is Bhutan’s capital city and the hub of modern influence. Here you can observe how the country is seeking to merge new practices within its rich traditions.
